Wow! What a finale to 2013 not to mention an unbelievably exciting start to 2014, but we can save that for later!! After experiencing our first ever Christmas, we needed some time to gather our thoughts, take stock and then literally, re-stock. We really couldn’t have expected a more positive reception to our inaugural Collection of pure alpaca children’s knitwear as well as our adult, home and baby accessories. We appreciate that our children’s pure alpaca cardigan was named Plum of London’s signature piece but there were a number of other star contenders of our British made alpaca garments that went down a storm. The burgundy and cream woven scarves seemed to be an instant hit, especially with our friends in America who are still, unfortunately, experiencing the Polar Vortex! A customer in Chicago couldn’t have been more complimentary when describing how effectively her scarf kept the cold at bay in temperatures of – 24 celsius!
The beautifully elegant children’s pure alpaca baby shawl often created some nostalgia for women who were looking for the ideal Christening present for a newborn, whether it be their grandchild or a friend’s baby. We exhibited at a lot of Christmas Fairs throughout England, although many of these were based in the North East. We are confident that we’ll be able to show more people our full range of British made alpaca knitwear and accessories in person as we look to confirm our attendance at more fairs in the South of England and more specifically, London from September 2014.
Exciting times ahead…!
